| Submit Comments to the Roadless Review Task Force | | Sunday, October 30, 2005 | This past legislative session a bill was passed forming a State Roadless Review Task Force. They have about a year to come up with recommendations based upon public hearings around the state. The task force's website is http://www.keystone.org/html/roadless_areas_task_force.html.
This website lists the dates and locations of all the meetings and can also be used to submit comments.
Motorized users must submit comments and show up to the meetings in droves or forever loose the opportunity to create the agenda for motorized use in Colorado. If you are burning about a favorite trail then you must attend these hearings and say a few words and send in your written comments. There are literally millions of acres at stake and this is the kind of forum where our numbers can make a difference in the recommendations.
Once the Task Force completes its review its recommendations go to the govenor who will then make the recommendation to Washington.
ACT ACT ACT.
