Since its inception in 1990, the Colorado OHV Program has returned over $2.5 million of OHV
registration fees to trail users in the form of grants for trail maintenance
and improvements. In 1998, $367,840 was allocated for 9 projects. In 1999, $880,000 was

Colorado Snowmobile Program Grants
Colorado Snowmobile registration program registered 30,982 sleds for the 1999-2000 season. This represents $464,730
dollars in registration fees, an increase of 3.3% over the 1998-1999 season. These registration fees are combined with other
federal and state funds to cover program administration costs, provide capital grants for groomer purchases, and provide money
to operate the groomers. Seven snommobile clubs are combining capital grants with club money to purchase groomers this season.
27 snowmobile clubs will then use $341,375 of the snowmobile budget to mark, groom, and sign 2600 miles of Colorado's
3500 miles of snowmobile trails.
