Jerry Abboud

Jerry Abboud | Executive Director and President

Jerry Abboud is the Executive Director of the Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition and the Powersports Dealers Association of Colorado. Jerry has been involved as an advocate for motorized recreationists in Colorado since 1987 as one of the founders of COHVCO and a member of the Blue Ribbon Coalition’s original Executive Board. He has worked on issues and actions with the National Off-highway Vehicle Conservation Council and the Motorcycle Industry Council. He currently sits on the Board of the American Motorcyclist Association.

Jerry is a professional lobbyist and a graduate of the University Of Nebraska College Of Law. He was the legislative lead for the OHV Registration and Recreation Fund program, OHV/snowmobile sound legislation and the Roadless Petition Process among others. Jerry believes in a cooperative approach whenever possible and just as strongly believes in the assertion of access rights when necessary. Abboud also actively supports and lobbies for more congressional funding for the Forest Service and BLM to address recreation on public lands. He is a past Chairman of the Colorado State Trails Committee, lectured at Colorado State University’s Department of Natural Resources on Judicial and Administrative process and received various acknowledgements from state and federal agencies including Colorado State Parks Volunteer of the Year.

Scott Jones

Scott Jones | Vice President

Scott Jones has an extensive background with and is a leader in the protection all types of trail based recreational activity. As an attorney with an environmental law background, Scott advocates and promotes for recreational use and conservation of our public lands and natural resources. His expertise includes State and Federal Environmental Law, Endangered Species issues and NEPA planning.

Scott currently partners with the Trail Preservation Alliance and Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition, President of the Colorado Snowmobile Association and a lifelong outdoor enthusiast. He also serves as the Colorado State Partner and Board Member of the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council, and is a past chairman of the Western Chapter of Snowmobile Associations.

Matt Hiller

Matt Hiller | Chairman

Matt was born and raised in Colorado and has a lot of family history in Colorado, his mother and grandfather are both natives. He is a family man and small business owner. His primary are dirt biking and off-roading, and he's also an active bowler.

In the past, he has helped to manage a large dirt bike club, and has been member of three local racing series, but in recent years, he's transitioned to mostly trail riding and enduro racing, getting away from tracks. Matt has also served as the Mile-Hi Jeep Club 2015 Land Use Chairman. He felt as a club they had a chance to help make a difference by getting involved on the front lines, and collaborating with other organizations. He's been working hard to promote involvement in land use issues and is very passionate about speaking about it. He's willing to get his hands dirty and work to make a difference!

Jamie Williams

Jamie recently retired from Kawasaki Motors Corp after 33 years of service as a West Region District Manager. Jamie was transferred to Colorado over ten years ago and resides in Colorado Springs. He has been on the COHVCO board for approximately four years. Jamie is a life member of AMA, Blue Ribbon Coalition, and AMA District 36. He is also a member of the CMTRA Motorcycle club out of the Springs. Jamie was very involved with AMA District 36 in Northern California as a VP and board member where there was never ending land use issues to help resolve.

Brian Erickson | Director

Brian was introduced to OHV in Wyoming while attending Wyotech. He moved back to Illinois and continued to enjoy 4wheeling in a Jeep he purchased. He moved back out west to Denver for 6 years. During this time he met his wife who was a Snowmobile Guide in Fraiser. Since then he has been active in the Snowmobile and 4x4 community. After vacationing in Southern Colorado, he made the move to Durango. He's also served as Vice President of the San Juan Sledderz snowmobile club. He would like to help COVHCO keep our recreation area open. Especially in Southern Colorado, some of the best OHV opportunities in the whole country!



Troy McBain | Director

Troy has ridden dirt bikes for the last 40 years. In 1996 he joined the Rampart Range Motorized Management Committee Inc. (RRMMC), during his time with the RRMMC he held the position of Secretary, Work Party Chairman, Poker Run Vice Chairman, Poker Run Chairman, and RRMMC Chairman.

Glenn Morgan

Glenn Morgan | Director

Glenn has been riding motorcycles off and on-road since the mid 1960s, and began AMA motocrossing in the late 1960s on a Hodaka Super Rat. He worked for a number of bike dealerships through the 1970s, as everything from parts and accessories sales to general manager. He moved to Colorado in 1979 and began a new career in banking with ADP. After a 30+ year IT career, he retired, and with more time on his hands, he volunteered to serve on the COHVCO Board. His goal is leverage his experience in technology and business management in order to help preserve the rights of ALL motorized users of public lands. He wants to give back to the hobby that gave him so many years of enjoyment.

Mike Paris

Mike Paris | Director

Mike's first brush with Land Management and OHV advocacy was in late 1977 in Eureka, CA, as a student at Humboldt State University studying Forestry and member of The Straight Arrow Coalition. He has been a member of Tread Lightly! since 1980, with whom he is both a charter member and Master Tread Trainer. Since the early 1980s, he has been an active member of several clubs from Utah, Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, and now in Colorado. Concurrent to his time working with clubs, he has been active with Southwest Four Wheel Drive, the Colorado Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs, and with United Four Wheel Drive. He has worked with several State and Federal land management agencies in the development of OHV and shared use facilities. Mike is also a lifetime member of BRC, and associate member of American Trails, and a longtime supporter of Stay The Trail, having been both an Ambassador and Trail Patrol.

Brad Smith

Brad Smith | Director and Facebook Manager

Brad Smith was born in Ohio where he starting riding dirt bikes at the age of 8 years old. He is a 27-year Air Force veteran and currently resides in the Colorado Springs area, where he has lived for nearly 10 years. He has been a motorcycle mechanic, Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Coach and off-road motorcycle racer. He is currently an active crew member of the Colorado Off-road Racing Championship Series (CORCS) and a member of the Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit (RMEC).
